Ready to request a commission? Let’s talk! I want this experience to be almost as joyful as the painting itself, so I’ve tried my best to make it as easy and stress free as possible. Because this is a shared creative journey, I’ve broken down the process into three simple steps so that you’ll know exactly what to expect along the way.
Step 1 — Sharing your Vision To get started, simply click the “Request a commission” button below, and fill out the form to follow with any thoughts and ideas. Feel free to share reference photos, preferred sizes, and of course, the "feeling" you want the painting to evoke. I’ll get back to you to discuss all the details and provide an exact quote.
Step 2 — From Palette to Paper
Once the design is in place and a deposit is made, I’ll head on over to my studio! An initial loose concept sketch will be sent your way and approved by you just to be sure we’re on the same page before the real painting begins. As soon as you’ve approved it, I’ll take it from there and begin to bring your vision to life by putting paint to paper!
Step 3 — The Handover
After the last brushstrokes have dried and the final deposit is paid, I’ll carefully package your custom watercolor and ship it directly from Monterey to your door. Live locally? Then I’m sure an in-person exchange could be arranged to save you an extra expense! Once it’s in your hands, all that’s left is for you to find the perfect spot to hang it and enjoy your Avery Cadence original!
